SEAT is extraordinary!
"SEAT was an amazing experience for myself and the other Year 5 students. It helped us learn about teamwork, building skills, helping others and sustainability. The SEAT is a bamboo stool that is made in Vietnam which helps people to get jobs to provide for their families. Hawkesbury Helping Hands
Year 5 and 6 students from Londonderry Public School had a visit from Hawkesbury's 'Helping Hands' organisation. We are nearly finished decorating our SEATs. The older students loved the research about people who have driven change and ended up using it to choose our classroom names for next year - Elon Musk (Innovation), Nelson Mandela (Wisdom) and Malala Yousafzai (Courage). I met with Year 5 students of Hills Grammar School in Kenthurst this week to be handed a beautifully decorated SEAT to be sent to the school community of Gilbert Camp, Solomon Islands. Thanks St George Leagues Club!
Year 6 students from Penshurst Public School have just installed an exhibition of their beautifully decorated SEATs into a display case in the foyer of the St George Leagues Club.
