SEAT is made in a sustainable bamboo factory in Vietnam, providing the community with a sound economic opportunity which greatly benefits women and children.
The S.E.A.T Project was inspired by the Hand-Up mentor program which saw design graduate Niki Banados design this amazing product.
Niki’s SEAT design uses no glue, no nails, can be tightly packaged and easily assembled by children.
The S.E.A.T Project Education Program is a trans-disciplinary unit of work for school aged children. The program demonstrates what sustainability and positive social change is actually about. This ordinary stool – is quite extraordinary.
Build it, paint it, sit on it, store precious things in the lid, and become a part of the continuum!
