Kylie Kehane, a teacher from Verona School in Fairfield shares her thoughts on the S.E.A.T Project…. “It was a great way to start the year, encouraging teamwork and bonding between students. It was interesting to observe how the students interacted with each other and what roles they chose, being either ones of leadership or more of a passive nature.”
Kylie says that the “learning experiences of the S.E.A.T Project are highly engaging, hands-on, thought provoking, challenging and provide an opportunity for critical thinking”. Kylie particularly foundĀ it interesting to see how the students “emotionally handled the challenges that the tasks presented”. It was observed that when students were frustrated, another would “initiate and communicate how they would propose to fix the problem”.
Verona School caters for students with behavioural difficulties, emotional disturbance, Autism and mild intellectual disabilities.
