SEAT for Solomons

I met with Year 5 students of Hills Grammar School in Kenthurst this week to be handed a beautifully decorated SEAT to be sent to the school community of Gilbert Camp, Solomon Islands. Thanks St George Leagues Club!

Year 6 students from Penshurst Public School have just installed an exhibition of their beautifully decorated SEATs into a display case in the foyer of the St George Leagues Club. They look fabulous! 3 SEATs were sold before the students even got there! They are hoping that all the thoughtfully decorated little stools will find a home by the end of the exhibition. SEAT for marginalised women in Nepal.

Royal North Shore Hospital School’s SEAT auction raised over $1300 to donate to the ‘Seven Women Project’, who empower marginalised women in Nepal through education, skills training and income generation. The Year 6 students of Penshurst Public School initiated a Crazy Sock Friday to collect socks for the children in the Solomon Islands....they ended up with shoes and undies too! Gifts to Haiti

Students from the Montessori School in Canberra discussed how organisations can "pay it forward" and how they might make a difference to a community on the other side of the world.
