Indigenous Literacy

"Our Year 5 students eventually decided to support Indigenous Literacy Foundation and have decorated SEATs accordingly, in a way that demonstrates the charity we are supporting and to make them appealing. The Project has given us lots of opportunities to stretch how we work as a team and compromise on ideas about designs. We are holding an online silent auction for the stools and are hoping to … [Read more...]

SEATs for Thai orphanage

You may have heard about the Year 5 students of Nakara Primary School earlier in the year whose S.E.A.T Project made it to the Channel 9 News in Darwin! "Our students thoroughly enjoyed the S.E.A.T Project and loved making and painting the designs of the SEATs. Here the red & grey SEATs were designed to match our Children’s Cubby House Project which is being donated to our local nursing home for visiting children at the centre. The SEATs have been filled with toys for kids to play with when visiting at the nursing home. We are still designing … [Read more...]

Developing World Day

Let's hear from our first school in the Northern Territory, Good Shepherd Lutheran College in Darwin.... The Year 4 students have lead our unit of inquiry and have decided that they want to send ‘shoe boxes of love’ to underprivileged children. We’ve learnt a lot so far about the developing world and how there are so many children less fortunate than us. As a part of our learning, we had … [Read more...]
