Home SCHOOL STORY Robert giving something back

Robert giving something back

Whilst attending the Holroyd School S.E.A.T Art Exhibition in Merrylands, I met Robert and his mum Julie. He was so excited to see his SEATs and other art work displayed for their families and the community. Robert’s class participated in a theme of “working together” and decorated 2 SEATs for  two organisations in the community that have a strong and direct relationship with them; Wentworthville Public School and Meze, a local food outlet.

Holroyd School supports students with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. They participated in the S.E.A.T Project to support their community and give something back. They wanted to make a difference, to say ‘thank you’, to give instead of receive, but most of all, to show that they are CAPABLE of helping others! They have certainly done this!
